Free Consultation 

Free initial 45 minute consultation in person so we can get to know each other, and you can decide whether I am the right doula for you.

Phone & Email Support 

Continuous phone, text and email support from the moment we decide to work together.  

3 Prenatal Visits 

Three prenatal meet ups (2 hours each) where we discuss birth preparation, childbirth education,  making informed decisions and useful comfort measures to use during labor.  It is through these meetings that we create an intimate and trusting relationship.

I will be on call for you from 38 weeks, until the time of your birth.

During labor 

Support throughout your entire labor, until at least an hour after birth.

Baby’s first feeding Support 

Help with first breastfeeding of your baby, if needed.

Postpartum follow-up visit 

Two post natal visits to support breastfeeding, physical recovery, emotional support and reflection on your birth experience.  I will ensure you are nurtured and well supported as you transition into motherhood.

Perform any clinical tasks

Doulas do not perform tasks such as blood pressure, fetal heart checks or internal exams.  Our role is one of nonintervention and is non-medical.  We are there to provide physical comfort, emotional support and advocacy.

Make decisions for you 

I will help educate you, so you can make informed decisions.  Any suggestions or information provided should always be checked with your primary care provider.

Speak to the staff on your behalf

I will remind you if there is a change in your birth ideals that you have shared with me.  I will discuss your concerns with you and suggest options, so you and / or your partner feel confident when speaking to medical staff.  

Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience

This is your birth, my role is to support you during your pregnancy and labor, in  a nurturing, honest and non judgmental way.
